RAJASTHAN’S GORANGINI SHARMA SELECTED FOR NASA VISIT AFTER
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN MITSURE OLYMPIAD MASTERS
Gorangini Sharma, a daughter of Khandar in Sawai Madhopur district,
Rajasthan, has delivered an outstanding performance in the Mittsure
Olympiad Masters. She has been selected for the prestigious NASA visit
and is the only student from Rajasthan to achieve this distinction.
She is currently a student at Vidhya Dayani Secondary School,
Sawai Madhopur.
National award ceremony held in Jaipur
The results of the Mittsure Olympiad Masters were announced at a national
award ceremony held at Hotel Marriott, Jaipur. Students, teachers,
principals and school representatives from various states across the
country participated in the ceremony.
Excellent performance in Science after multiple stages of selection
Gaurangi excelled in the Science subject and successfully cleared all
stages of the selection process, including the written examination and
interview. Following intense competition, only four students from across
the country were selected for the NASA visit.
Along with Gaurangi Sharma, the other selected students are Ayesha from
Haryana, and Shubh Jain and Jaiprakash Pandey from Madhya Pradesh.
60 STUDENTS HONOURED,
AWARDS UP TO `50,000
At the national award ceremony, 60 talented students from across the
country were honoured in various categories. The winners received
prizes worth up to `50,000, along with medals and certificates of
appreciation.
Dr. P. Agrawal, Prof. Anil Dhawan and Vinod Panwar felicitated the
students and encouraged them for their achievements.
Dream of becoming a Scientist
Speaking about her achievement, Gaurangi Sharma said that getting an
opportunity to visit NASA feels like a dream come true. She said that
her goal is to become a scientist in the future and contribute to the
country.
Gaurangi’s achievement has brought an atmosphere of celebration to
Khandar and the entire Sawai Madhopur district. The school management,
teachers and family members described the achievement as the result of
her hard work, dedication and talent, and wished her a bright future.
Rural talent gets a national platform
One of the biggest highlights of the Olympiad was the participation of
students not only from metropolitan cities but also from small towns and
rural areas. School representatives who came from almost every district
of the country were also honoured during the ceremony.
Teachers and principals said that platforms such as the Mittsure
Olympiad Masters are becoming an important means of providing talented
students from rural areas with recognition at the national level.
